Hi there,
I’m an influencer, and I thought I’d found a trustworthy agency to work with. At first, that was definitely the case—but I’ll explain below why I feel completely taken advantage of today.
Our first collaboration went really well. I had nothing to complain about—until I came across a campaign that genuinely interested me. The concept is simple: you advance the costs to buy a board game, test it, and then leave a coherent review on Amazon. After that, you’re supposed to be reimbursed and receive “points” you can use to buy things like Amazon gift cards.
Everything seemed clear, so I agreed and followed through. I did my part by checking the market and notifying the client that the price of the game on Amazon had increased—something they hadn’t mentioned. He replied that it wasn’t a problem and that he’d refund the difference in the form of points. No issue on my end: I did the work, everything was approved and verified.
But here’s the problem: I did receive the points tied to the campaign, but I never got reimbursed for the amount I had advanced—which is, of course, the biggest part.
A few days later, I contacted the client again through the platform, reminding them that the reimbursement was agreed upon and written clearly in the campaign terms. Their response? “We can offer you other games instead of the reimbursement.” I explained that this wasn’t the deal and that I just wanted them to honor their commitment. After that, I got no further replies.
I stayed hopeful, thinking I was dealing with a serious agency, and I contacted support. They were polite and told me they’d reach out to the client and get back to me quickly.
Result: six months later, still nothing.
I followed up with support multiple times, but I never received a response. It’s shameful to treat people this way. I’m absolutely going to spread the word—with proof—about this glaring lack of professionalism and consideration.
In the end, this campaign ended up costing me more than it brought in. Support did nothing, and I lost time, money, and energy. I’m extremely disappointed.
P.S. It was YOUR platform that assigned me this campaign, YOUR support that failed to do the job, and now my Google review isn’t “appropriate”?!”
