We were very happy with MetalArc's design process and the metal gate they installed. During the proposal stage, I had to follow-up a few times to get an estimate, but I am really glad I stuck with this company because they were extremely knowledgeable and detail-oriented, answered my many questions, provided very thoughtful suggestions, were flexible with re-working the proposal and finally delivered a beautiful product that matched exactly what we wanted and they had designed. The installation went very smoothly as well. They crew worked around my availability and arrived right on time. I would definitely recommend this company!

I worked with MetalArc on a highly custom and challenging stair railing. I asked them to translate a sprial staircase design to my linear, right-angle staircase. Most railing companies said that they couldn't do it. MetalArc was one of the few willing to accept the challenge and the unknowns that came with it. They worked hard to understand my vision and priorities. I am very particular in what I want and don't want. They respected that and were not put off by it. They are very, very kind people. The project gave them challenges beyond their expectations, but they were patient and stuck with it each time. I am thrilled with the final result. On my end, there were a few challenges as well. I had to be extremely patient with the schedule. The project was bid at a flat rate, however, they increased it when they had a better understanding of the project. This was after I was already committed and had made a large deposit. I was frustrated by that because I thought the project was clear from the beginning since I had a picture of what I wanted to replicate. The payment installments were confusing and, as things took longer, they added new installments. I had to be firm that the final installment would be paid when the project was done. They had a few employees turnover which directly impacted my project. All but one did great work; but the one caused some major hiccups as did the transitions in general. We finished the project as a team. The results are beautiful. We are on good terms. We are planning to work together again, thankfully on a much more straightforward project!

It’s hard to put into words how wonderful our experience was with David at MetalArc. We had completed a beautiful high end kitchen remodel and the crowning jewel was to be the metal and glass cabinet doors that our architect had drawn in. However, the company she had used in the past wouldn’t call me back. I found MetalArc using Google. And I’m beyond happy I did. First, their commitment to their craft is top notch. They will work diligently to get the project right. The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. The finished product is stunning, we couldn’t be happier. Second, David’s level of communication is a rarity. He is such a well spoken, clear and eloquent communicator. It is a lost art in today’s day and age. I was impressed time and time again with his clarity and thoughtfulness in every conversation and email. This was truly a “project” that required communication and collaboration and he impressed me time and time again. Third, he is a good man whose primary goal was not only meeting but exceeding expectations. On top of being an expert in his craft, he has mastered being a good person. I can’t say enough good things about him (and his brother, Joseph!). Thank you 🙏🏼 we will continue to sing your praises.

I love these guys. I thought my project was too small to be worth their while. David spent an hour helping me design a simple stainless steel shelf. He had it done in a week. It's perfect and looks better than I imagined. I am looking around my house trying to think of a new project so I can work with them again.

We hired Metal Arc for custom steel shelving, and while I’m ultimately happy with how the shelves look, the overall experience was far more frustrating than it should have been. The project involved multiple measurement errors — they mismeasured twice and had to come back, which felt sloppy and stressful for a custom fabrication job. More concerning were the alignment issues: the shelving did not sit cleanly with the wall or even align properly with itself. Metal Arc did not take accountability for these issues, and I was genuinely surprised that they considered this an acceptable finished deliverable. In the end, we had our painter use black electrical tape to visually hide the gap, which was a disappointing workaround given the scope and cost of the work. Scheduling added to the frustration. They were extremely evasive about confirming an installation date, which made it difficult to coordinate other contractors and stay on track with our overall project timeline. Communication throughout the process was challenging. David was often long-winded and repetitive, and simple issues dragged on far longer than necessary. I was also surprised by how aggressive he was about me not being present for a walkthrough, despite my husband being there, checking in multiple times, and being told by David’s brother that he was “just there for measurements.” I do believe they want to do good work, but the lack of professionalism, accountability, and clear communication made the process stressful and unclear. We got to an outcome we can live with, but it took far more time, effort, and emotional energy than it should have.

Architectural metalwork has to be fit to actual site conditions, and those realities can sometimes require added measurements, adjustments, and practical onsite solutions to achieve the best result. In this case, the wall itself and the sequence of tile installation created alignment challenges that had to be addressed in the field. Because work like this also depends on outside finishing vendors and coordination with other trades, installation dates can only be confirmed once those timelines are set. We do our best to share updates as they become available and to guide jobs responsibly through changing circumstances and trade coordination. Our goal on every job is to serve clients thoughtfully, communicate well, and deliver a finished product that reflects the care one-of-a-kind work requires. Had the please of working with them to install railings for our staircase. Absolute pleasure to work with and very respectful of your time and space. Most contractors will just walk in with shoes where as they asked. Very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend if you want some quality metal work.
