Unfortunately, the collaboration was disappointing. The service provider had said in advance that she was familiar with the technical integration of e-books into websites (Easy Digital Downloads). In reality, though, she had to look up how it works during the meeting itself. This created extra work and meant we needed another appointment, which was very frustrating for me. Even though I asked her to cover only 50% of the costs—because in the first half hour there was practically no progress—she sent me the full invoice, demanded immediate payment, threatened legal action, and also threatened to charge an additional 100 CHF for her own research expenses. This was clearly at odds with her original statement and with how she presented herself as an expert regarding fulfilling the assignment.
