Very aggressive door-to-door collection. They don’t accept “no.” They claim they don’t use subscriptions, but it turns out they do. There’s very little transparency with this company. In my opinion, you shouldn’t invest in a fund that uses these kinds of practices.

As the donor passed away, we tried to stop the donation, but that’s almost impossible. So we’re canceling the donation each time until the banking matters are sorted out and the account has been closed.

What I find so frustrating about 1984 is that, back then, Mies Bouwman and Ted de Braak raised 50 million. Now, almost 45 years later, people are still doing it all by hand—so a lot ends up getting lost along the way. That’s my opinion.
